Learn more about the trainer
Adam Guman, Mgr.
Adam is a graduated trainer of fitness, bodybuilding and powerlifting. With a methodology proven over years he improves his clients’ lives and helps them achieve their set goals. Among the most important training methods he lists strengthening, relaxing, breathing exercises and cardio activities.
Many people think details matter only in professional sport and can be overlooked in recreational or amateur sport. Years of Adam’s practice and study taught him that not underestimating details is always important. As a former elite athlete in strength sports he knows the beneficial effects of strength training and actively uses it in his coaching practice. In 2012 he placed second at the World Powerlifting Championships and in 2013 he managed to win.
Natural movement has been disappearing from our lives in recent decades, so we must ensure enough of it and make sure it is done correctly. Will incorrect running technique or poorly performed circuit training exercises bring any benefits? Yes - by raising heart rate you benefit the heart and by activating muscles during movement you burn more calories than by sitting. However, with incorrect technique we damage our musculoskeletal system. Adam states that all incorrectly performed activities are recorded in our personal movement history and may one day appear as shoulder pain, hip problems, scoliosis or unpleasant back pain. Therefore move correctly and focus on every single repetition and on every inhale and exhale.
The main goal of Adam’s work with clients is for clients to feel great. There is no point in having an extremely low body fat percentage or huge biceps if the client does not feel well, is tired, low on energy or suffers consequences of incorrect training.
I admit it is sometimes a struggle with a client - correcting movement, laziness, daily routine, cravings for forbidden foods and appetite. By correctly explaining the reasons why we include certain procedures and principles we earn the client’s trust. Cooperation is also a form of education - I believe that if a client better understands the processes connected to their body they will achieve the best results.
